Q: What is money?
A: Paper, in which people place themselves in a "higher" or "lower" status

Why is it a need? Why can't we all just take money away, and look at who we are as individuals? I'm sure we'd all be better people if money was taken out of the equation.
Sure, it would take some time to transition, but what doesn't... a break-up isn't healed overnight, a death may never truly pass, but this is something that we can and should all let go of.

Can money truly buy you happiness?
If so, I view it as only temporary....

I will give you all of my money, but I will always have a smile on my face, and that.... you cannot take.

Morning Glory

Ahhh Adrayn.... you poor teething soul. Your Papa and I got about 2 hours sleep last night thanks to those 8 teeth of yours coming in.
I could not imagine the pain you feel. Poor little guy.

Then to top it off this morning you decided to go exploring in your diaper, and beyond explore, I believe you thought of this new substance as an art tool. I was a bit shocked when walking in this morning to find that lovely surprise awaiting me, especially after a night of not so much sleep.

Ahhh... these are the memories that we must capture, and share with you as  you grow older. My little artist.
I think we'll try to stink to paints, or even clay in the future... please.

In with the new!

Time to change the "electrobabymama" picture, and welcome my little man growing up!

I love you little Adrayn, and I can't believe how you've grown. Your favorite foods are beets, pickled green beans, and braunschweiger liverwurst with mustard... yes, the only way of finding these things out is by your odd parents eating it as well...
It's almost your 1st birthday, and I am so elated, and yet soooooo in shock. How did a whole year fly by?
The bittersweet of it all is that I will return to work on this joyous day. After celebrating Adrayn's big "1" the weekend before, mama starts her new job on 3.14.11. Then we're off to a dual celebratory din-din!

Luckily at this time I'll be starting part-time, so I'll have a bit of transition leaving you, and also no need for a sitter. So it's the best possible scenario!

Your brother and sister are here for the week, and boy do you LOVE when they are here. You light up like you've just won the grandest of prizes! You also seem to want to act like a "big boy" a tad more. The way you look at Parker is just priceless, and the way you love when Presley plays mama to you is adorable.
  

I hope you all grow old and remember the love you now share.

Cabin Fever

Holiday's can really take it all out of a person... financially, and well.... emotionally.

This holiday season is a bit more exhausting as the snow (as beautiful as it is) has locked us indoors for a bit, and then on top of that we couldn't go anywhere if we wanted since we're a bit tight financially from moving into our new home... I have the feeling that we aren't alone in this situation this year.

I may not have a big red box with a shiny green bow for you, but please know that you have made my 2010 year a wonderful one, and I am grateful to have you all in my life.

And now for something stupid....

I hate those moments where you get caught up in something stupid... so stupid that it drives you crazy, and time seems to go sooooooo slow.... then it passes, and you look at your little one and hate that you wasted that slow time on something non-important, instead of cherishing the extended time lapse by gazing into your little ones eyes...

Why must time work like that? Why my attention work like that? I need to retrain my brain!!!

I am so tired of certain topics, and so over extended in certain areas... I am about loving my family, and supporting everyone in it. I love too much sometimes, and as the saying goes "No good deed goes unpunished"... well it seems to be the case lately. I can't let this negative emotion linger, or it will only manifest itself into a monster... a monster that I create in my own head.

Time to move ahead, no looking back.... positive lights are shining off in the distance, and I am gaining on them quickly!

Dearest little love,

That's it... we've called it. Your first word is "out", or as you say it "OuuuuTah".
Man o' man are you just growing a mile a minute. Yapping all day, crawling from one end of the room to the other in seconds... you impress me more and more each day, Adrayn.

Also, for some reason when you were a newborn and not cooperative in the car, your Papa and I would put in the "Black Eyed Peas" and you would hush right up. Well the other day you were having one of those moments and we decided to try it out for old times sake and it still works!! You and your Black Eyed Peas... I think it's the bass, and the trance-like vibe. Maybe you can tell me all about it someday. :)

It's so hard to remember all these little details in time to run to the computer and put it to this blog. I am also curious how all these details, videos, pictures from your childhood will affect you in the future. I only had pictures, and maybe a bad video here and there, but this is a whole new world.

On another note... love is in the air! Your Papa and I are getting married soon! We have already chosen the date (1/11/11, because that's the night I met your Papa in 2008), and just to be extra cheesy we've chosen 11am as the time we'll say our vows. Something special has happened with the planning though, a dear friend of your Papa's has offered to marry us in our new home!!! How wonderful is that! So simple, relaxed, and this home will have one more fabulous memory to add to it's charm. Maybe we're the first to ever get married in this 1920's house! 

We plan to have an intimate open-house reception in the spring/summer so friends can celebrate the love with us in more appropriate weather.

So excited for what 2011 will bring, but am still soaking up the 2010 while it lasts.
